ABOUT US
Karen Thomas is a passionate and dedicated leader serving as the Executive Director of RC Family Projects, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI. With over 20 years of experience in social services, Karen has focused her career on empowering at-risk youth, a commitment that has shaped her educational and professional journey. Holding an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Human Services, Karen is committed to lifelong learning. She continually seeks to enhance her knowledge through additional educational courses, ensuring she remains informed about the latest developments and best practices in youth advocacy.
Before her role at RC Family Projects, Inc. Karen gained valuable experience with the Westcare Foundation, Inc., where she worked to implement programs that supported underserved populations. Additionally, her time with Career Youth Development (CYD) under the late Jeannetta Robinson was instrumental in shaping her approach to youth services and community engagement. There, she collaborated on initiatives that fostered youth empowerment and personal growth. Karen also possesses extensive experience in AODA (Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse) and mental health services, equipping her with the skills to address the complex needs of the youth she serves. Her background in case management has allowed her to effectively coordinate resources and support for individuals facing various challenges, ensuring comprehensive care and guidance.
